Because one size does not fit all....... Announced at SIGGRAPH 2010, Bishop 2.0 is an update to the rig currently used by Animation Mentor students. This new version of Bishop is built as a customizable rig and will allow students to dial in over 71 tredecillion unique looks for their shots! We've created a variety of head modifications (eyes, lips, noses, chins, & head shapes), body modifications (body types, arms, legs, upper and lower body shapes), clothing items, ears, wigs, glasses, hats, and heights. We've also created an easy to use tool that allows them to easily make changes to the head and body shapes, attach clothing and wigs, change the colors of everything, and create their very own, unique character.
Blue Sky Studios' 3-D digital animated film "Rio" centers on a nerdy macaw who leaves the comforts of his cage in small-town Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro.
“When Day, a sunny fellow, encounters Night, a stranger of distinctly darker moods, sparks fly! Day and Night are frightened and suspicious of each other at first, and quickly get off on the wrong foot. But as they discover each other’s unique qualities–and come to realize that each of them offers a different window onto the same world–the friendship helps both to gain a new perspective.”
Anyway, check out the short, it's really cool!
